StoryCorps Mobile Tour Kick-Off

You are invited to join SDPB and StoryCorps for an informal press event Thursday, July 3, at 10:00 am. The StoryCorps Mobile Recording Booth – a specially customized Airstream trailer – has arrived at the Washington Pavilion, near the Wells Fargo Cinedome, where it will be parked for the next month.

Members of SDPB’s Executive staff and the StoryCorps on-site coordinators will be on hand at 10:00 am to answer questions and provide you a tour of the recording booth at 12:30 pm. The first of two initial interviews is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am and features Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken and former City Attorney Stacy Kooistra. The second recording session involves Katrin Profilet, VP & Co-owner of P & M Steel Company, and her husband, Zach Dickson. Zach created Friends of Freddie in memory of his and his wife’s daughter, Winifred, who was stillborn at 38.5 weeks on September 8, 2022. The nonprofit seeks to raise awareness for stillbirth and pregnancy loss, connect community members, and support families in their time of need.
