Standing Proud: Women in Uniform Screening and Discussion

Join SDPB and producer Tim Davison for a screening of Standing Proud: Women in Uniform, followed by a discussion with Tim.

Standing Proud showcases the stories six veterans that highlight the growth, struggles, victories, and insights about service and patriotism. In the individual, learn about the universal history of women who have served our country. From each beginning, follow their stories form basic training to their first assignment. Learn how world events like the conflict in Vietnam, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and September 11th, not only changed their duties, but also how they see concepts like “freedom” and “service.” Watch how those lessons changed their lives back in South Dakota, and how they made an impact on their family, friends, children and communities.
